You have not experienced the hospitality of the Southwest Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains until you have stayed at Eagle's Nest Bed & Breakfast - An elegant yet country get-a-way off the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Eagle's Nest provides rustic elegance in a forest setting overlooking the historic Buffalo Mountain -- You can read about it in Richard C. Davids, "The Man Who Moved The Mountain -- Bob Childress". Buffalo Mountain has no trees on its summit at 3972 feet. It offers a state maintained hiking trail on the back-side of the mountain, about 4.5 miles from our front door. You will find the folks here quite warm and inviting, altogether homey and comfortable. Food and wine enthusiasts will want to experience wine weekend packages through Chateau Morrisette or Villa Appalachia.
Nearby mountains, trails and rivers offer activities and experiences for a lifetime of memories. Explore the town of Floyd for a bluegrass music-filled weekend; hike to a waterfall or drive along the famous Blue Ridge Parkway. Everyone will enjoy relaxing on one of our two great front porches - read a good book and enjoy a glass of wine. Romantic guest rooms have fine linens, cotton towels, access to private porches, wonderful views, and cozy privacy.
We are located in the ever popular pathway to blue grass music, great wineries and the famous Blue Ridge Parkway next to Floyd, Virginia. [Exit at Milepost 174 between Chateau Morrisette and Mabry Mill from the Blue Ridge Parkway onto Conner Grove Rd. Go 3 miles]. After you climb our zigzag black-top driveway you will be welcomed to Eagle's Nest atop a five acre hilltop overlooking Buffalo Mountain. Our large country farmhouse offers four great bedrooms with private baths and lots to see.
Relax, have fun, sit back and rock!
